These terms govern use of Cheshub. By creating an account or using marketplace features you agree to them. Please read them before posting a job, offering services or entering into an agreement with another user.

1. The role of Cheshub

Cheshub provides an online marketplace that helps independent users find, communicate with and assess one another. Unless we expressly state otherwise for a specific service, Cheshub is not the employer, agent, contractor, subcontractor, guarantor, insurer or payment provider for a poster or provider and is not a party to the contract for work formed between users.

2. Users make their own decisions

Profiles, verification indicators, reviews, recommendations, matching scores and sponsored placements are tools to help discovery. They are not a guarantee, warranty or endorsement of identity, honesty, qualifications, insurance, competence, availability, solvency, suitability, workmanship or ability to pay. Each user must carry out the checks appropriate to the work before agreeing to proceed.

3. Posters and customers

Posters are responsible for describing jobs accurately, checking that a provider is suitable, confirming identity where appropriate, checking qualifications, licences, insurance, references and regulatory requirements relevant to the work, agreeing the scope and price, providing a safe working environment where applicable, and paying amounts properly due under the agreement they make with the provider.

4. Providers

Providers are independent and responsible for deciding whether a job and poster are genuine and suitable, confirming scope, price and payment terms before starting, carrying out their own payment/credit-risk checks where appropriate, requesting sensible deposits or staged payments where appropriate and lawful, keeping appropriate records, maintaining required qualifications, licences and insurance, and performing work lawfully, safely and competently.

5. Quotes, deposits and payment

Unless Cheshub later introduces a separately identified payment service, quotations, deposits, staged payments, final payments, refunds and invoices are agreed and handled directly between users. Cheshub does not hold or guarantee those funds. A user should not assume that another user will pay merely because they have a Cheshub account. Users should use appropriate written terms, invoices and payment safeguards for the type and value of work involved.

6. Disputes between users

If a poster and provider disagree about payment, deposits, cancellation, quality, damage, delay, scope or completion, the dispute is between those users under their agreement. Cheshub may provide reporting or moderation tools and may choose to assist with communication, but is not obliged to adjudicate the underlying contractual dispute and does not become responsible for it merely by receiving a report.

7. Verification

A verification badge means only that the particular check described by that badge was completed at the time recorded. It must not be interpreted as a comprehensive background check or continuing guarantee. Users remain responsible for checks relevant to their transaction.

8. Reviews

Reviews must relate to a genuine experience and must be honest and lawful. We may moderate, restrict or remove reviews where we reasonably consider this necessary, but we do not guarantee that every review is accurate.

9. Sponsored and promoted results

Providers or jobs may pay for increased visibility. Sponsored or promoted placement does not mean that Cheshub recommends or guarantees that user. Promotion may affect ordering only within the marketplace rules and should be identified where applicable.

10. Prohibited conduct

You must not use Cheshub for fraud, unlawful or unsafe services, harassment, discrimination prohibited by law, spam, impersonation, misleading profiles, malicious software, attempts to compromise security, manipulation of reviews, or activity that creates an unreasonable risk to another user or the platform.

11. Account and moderation powers

We may investigate reports and may reject, suspend, restrict or remove accounts, profiles, jobs, reviews, messages or other content where we reasonably believe this is necessary for security, legal compliance, marketplace integrity or enforcement of these terms. These powers do not create a duty to monitor every user, message, job or transaction.

12. Availability and changes

We do not promise that the marketplace will always be uninterrupted, error-free or that every feature will remain available. We may maintain, change or withdraw features where reasonably necessary.

13. Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, Cheshub is responsible for the marketplace service it itself agrees to provide, but is not responsible merely because an independent user fails to pay, fails to attend, cancels, provides poor or unsafe work, misrepresents themselves, causes loss or damage, or breaches an agreement with another user. Cheshub does not guarantee the accuracy of user-generated content or the outcome of a match or introduction.

Where the law allows liability to be limited, we will not be responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these terms, or for business losses suffered by a consumer. Nothing here removes statutory rights that apply to you.

14. Your responsibility to us

You are responsible for information and content you submit and for your use of the marketplace. You must not knowingly expose Cheshub or other users to claims or losses through unlawful content, fraud or deliberate misuse.

15. Privacy

Our Privacy Notice explains how personal information is handled. Our Cookie Policy explains our use of cookies and similar technologies.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms where reasonably necessary. Where a change materially affects existing users, we may require renewed acceptance before continued use of relevant marketplace features.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you retain any mandatory rights you have to bring proceedings in the part of the UK in which you live.
